I first picked up the banjo around 45 years ago. The guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and dobro shortly followed. I was a touring musician in the early 80’s before becoming a family man. I have been teaching lessons in the Miami Valley area for around 20 years. I am an adjunct professor at Sinclair Community College in their Appalachian Music program and am certified in the Wernick method. My teaching style consists of learning how to play by ear while also covering the basics of music theory and notation.

I am currently giving lessons in person or on Zoom!
